  1. Glad to hear things are getting better! Now it's all down hill from here right? You certainly have done your share of work at this process.
  2. I feel like I got more support and education from the group at Balboa then Most of the people on this website...Although I would say that after the surgery I have not kept in contact with them other than to have scheduled follow-up appointments. All that is required I guess. They were there for me if I had questions and I am sure if I lived closer I may have attended a few support group meetings but I consider this site my support group anyway! God Bless all you Spouses and your service Members!
  3. I have all my post op meals typed up. If you want it pm me your email address.
  4. My doctor threatened the same thing. Sorry you are disappointed. Pray that you are back on track soon.
  5. Yep...it is all related to the fat you are burning. When you burn stored fat you release estrogen into your body...loads of it. The fast you burn that fat the more estrogen you have in your body...that cause havic with your cycle...it will even out eventually. Joys of womenhood
  6. I think you look great! Keep up the good job!
  7. This site has been the reason for my success!
  8. When was the last time your doctor looked at them? Might not hurt to have them looked at.
  9. you look absolutely amazing! COngrats on two years out and living a healthy life.
  10. Saying a prayer for you right now Raven!
  11. both you ladies having surgery tomorrow saying a prayer that it all goes well Remeber to sip sip sip (when they say you can) and walk walk walk...even if you dont feel like it. Look forward to hearing from you post-op
  12. Sorry the begininng was rough going...but you sound like you are getting there. I made a chart to stay on top of everything at first. It helped me. Praying you feel great tomorrow! PS you honesty is important...others need to know all the different results...the more you know the better you make decision.
  13. Glad you found the cause of the delusions. Hope your expereince can help someone else! Blessings to you.
  14. Well everyone has different results. But in my experience it was more about the pure shock to my body. I think during the losing stage my body was so "busy" keeping up with all the other changes and couldn't continue to grow hair and so it just fell out...my guess is 1/3-1/2 of my total volume. But here is the good news...at 17 months out it is all back and just like it never happened. Only difference I am a size 4 and living a very happy and healthy life!!! Hair loss is tremporary. My weight loss is forever! PS I take GNC's B-beautiful chew once a day. I think it helped with the health of regrowth.
  15. I would suggest you go to the ER. Let them figure out what is going on. Praying for you.
  16. I have typed up my meal plans for post surgery...if you would like a copy pm me your email and I will send it to you. As far a supplements I was instructed a flinstone complete in the morning and evening. Calcium chews (I use Viactive) 3 times a day. You cant eat them within 2 hours of the Vitamins. I take 1 B100comdeplete once a day and 1 B12 sublingual a week. My basic guidelines are 70 grams of Protein a day 64 ounces of Fluid 30 or less grams of carbs everyones guidelines are a bit different but this is what got me to goal
  17. So curious to know how you are! I have been at goal for a year and would like to have another baby but worried sick about what might happen to my body.
  18. You look great...congrats on all your accomplishments...got to tell you the last pic you look so tall! My doctor told me 2 years prior to surgery but when I went for my 1 year post op they hinted it would be ok. I think the 2 years is a carry over from the gastric bypass...and for those patients it is important because of malabsorption. I would give your doctor a call and be honest about the pill. I have 3 kids and I will be 35 in a few weeks but still really want 1 more kid. Not sure how I feel about getting prego and gaining weight and taking my body through some thing further.
  19. My favorite is Gold Standard 100% Whey...My suggestion is buy from somewhere you can return...GNC has a great return policy and they take back with out question. For me...I like my protein over ice and that helps. Just some suggestions...keep trying then until you find what you like.
  20. I too am thankful this all worked out for you. Just think what an amazing job you will be able to do at your new job once you get to goal:) Congrats on all the new things in your life.
  21. I have learned so much and been reminded of so much by reading this thread! Thank you skinny for being honest with us! Praying for success for you.
  22. Oh How I remember the night before my surgery. They day before Dec 6th I had to get everything ready for my sister in law to take care of our three kids and then my hubby and I had to drive 3 hours to the hospital. We stayed the night in a hotel. The hotel (which we had no idea about) was nestled between train tracks a harbor and an airport. As you can imagine I got no sleep...neither did hubby. I prayed a lot. The next morning I was SO calm. I had been frightened of pain, being put asleep, the finality of the surgery...etc. But that day was so different. God was with me and He is with you. I will pray for you Delta...I am asking God to give you peace today and tomorrow, I am asking God to bring you through surgery with out any complications. I am praying that you will have the best care from the doctor you have to the nursing staff that will enter your room. I am asking God to give you amazing results and when you are at goal I am praying you will see the glory of our King and give Him all the glory!
  23. I think everyone has given you straight up honest advice...the only thing I might add is seeing someone you can talk to. You have been through a lot and it isnt physical needs that have sent you to McD's. Just a thought.
  24. Ask any and every single question you can think of...between all of us here we will have an answer. Keep asking and reading until you feel comfotable with your decision.
