  1. I think I cried for my mama too. LOL.
  2. I woke (very groggy) to my hubby saying..."It's in, you did it. How you feel?" I started crying from the pain. Throat...chest...nausious...PAIN!!! " Hurts, what did I do? More pain meds." I was a BIG baby. Now...not so big of a baby. hehehe They kept telling walk, sip water and to blow into that 'darn' contraption. You remember the one, for your lungs. God that hurt. Dont understand how others have no pain afterwards. I remember my doctor telling me before that he has had patients leave surgery and go back to work the next day. "WTH???? How?" I was in pain from the gas for about a week.
  3. Can I damage my port by sleeping on my left side. It is very uncomfy, so I dont start off that way. However, I am usually woke by discomfort and finding that I have rolled over onto my left side. Something I have wondered for the past year, just never asked. I woke this morning with a small bruise at my port sight. So....what do you think?

  6. Cking in at 182. With more 2 lbs down. I have also started walking one mile a day on the treadclimber. So far, I have done it everyday for 8 days. It is a love/hate relationship. Uuggghhh. You know what I am talking about.
  7. I am down 2lbs to 184.
  8. Well. I messed up. I need another fill. I gained the few that I lost. Back up to 186.
  9. We live a good 30 mins from town and I have kids, so the gym is out of the question. I have a treadclimber, that usually holds my laundry, zumba, and play in the pool with the kids. I have not been dicipline enough to make it a habit, but I have found that playing with the kids burns calories.
  10. I love zumba...even though I can not dance a lick.
  11. So, does changes in the weather mess with your band? We took at trip to the North East a few months ago and I had some tightness when we drove thru the mountains. Now, we have a hurricane in the Gulf. I am wondering if I am going to have issues again. Not that I really mind, helps me lose a few pounds. But Just wondering what I have to look forward to.

  14. I have been woken a time or two during the night with a pain. I am quessing that it is from the port. When I twist or stretch at night, it feels like little needles. I am little more than a year post band. Love my band. Just worried that I might be messing something up. Which is silly, because we are suppose to be able to workout and not cause damage. Anyone else having this.
  15. For burps...I stocked up on Cinnamon GasX strips for after surgery. It helps. Do not eat or drink too fast. Sometimes it is due to your band being too tight. But after surgery, it is because of the gas and surgery. Little helpful hint. I survived on Crystal Light Lemonade poured over Sonic Ice. I would chew on the ice. And GasX. But you will belch, I do, a lot. Just let it out. LOL. My doctor said that I could still use a straw. I just bite on my straw while I am sipping, keeps me from drinking too much too fast. Either that or I drink out of Water bottles. Some people find ways to still eat. Or they do not keep a good restriction. I have awsome restriction. However, we went on vacation. The travel food of choice in our van was funyuns. They desolve. I could not refuse them after sitting in that van for hours. Then Easter came along and so did the chocolate. I have kids... Just stay away from the BAD foods. Do not push yourself to try and eat things you know should not. Like if everyone around you is eating pizza. If you want it, just pick at the toppings. Do not eat the crust. Trust me. Over the past few months I have not lost anything. I have been up a pound then down a pound. Because I have been grazing. That is another thing. Dont graze. I have found that Listerene strips are great for killing cravings. Hope this helps. Good luck to you.
  16. Thank you. No, I am not at goal, yet. Still have 10 more to go. Of course vacation and Easter did not help. Started out at 255 and now at 183. And holding for the past few months. I will try the 5 day pouch test. Thank you. I have also only had liquids today. Thanks for your support.
  17. Vacation really distroyed my ambition. I can not seem to get back on track. I have restriction, but since I arrived home I can not seem to STOP GRAZING. Need someone or something to kick me in the butt. Anyone???
