  2. As with all food, small bites, chew, chew, chew. I eat all types ( only 1 slice ): Chicago; N.Y.; Mid West(thin) w/o a problem.
  3. Pretty normal. Just covering his/her hid quarters. Lotta frivilous (sp??) law suits going on.
  4. And, u will be an inspiration to them too.
  5. I was encouraged to have a Lap-Band by my Cardio. When I mentioned it to my PCP, he just said "is that right." He's to much of a professional to say any more, but I know him well enough to know what he was thinking. To make a long story short, my PCP is a believer ( I've lost 80# & off many meds.). My Cardio told me that of 9 patients he recommended, and had, Lap-Band, I'm the only success story. My Cardio, however, still believes in the program. That's my story & I'm sticking with it.... You have the right attitude in that you know it's only a tool & loosing weight & keeping it off is a full time job, made a lot easier by the Lap-Band. Best of luck to you & disregard the Nay Sayers. They're just jealous that you have the fortitude to improve your life style.
  6. Have u been asked to use a small plate too? Really helps psychologically. When u c a small am't of food on a large plate, u can get discouraged. It's all about tricking your brain. My wife says I don't have a brain to trick. Lol......
  7. Probably just want u 2 get use to carrying it around w/u. LoL.....
  8. I must agree w/this post. I've been drinking 2/day for last 1 1/2 yrs. No problems. "Just do it."

  10. Put whatever you like in a blender & let'er rip....
  11. Never thought of that.....Humor is good for the soul. Especially for those of us fighting a weight battle.....
  12. Did u know Everything weighs one percent less at the equator?
  13. If one has a heart condition, as I do, it's very important to weigh in daily in the a.m. If you gain a significant amt., you may be retaining water and should seek medical advice.
  14. U deserve to feel sorry 4 yourself. What a nightmare. Hang in there. This experience will only make u more dedicated. Be well.
  15. I have to stay away from having chicken ( any style) in salads. Otherwise, S T U C K. That's no fun. Haven't run across anything else in salads, including walnuts, raisans, etc., that cause a problem.
  16. I was pleasantly surprise to see Cracker Barrel's menu with low cal items. Their new Shrimp/Grits entree is excellent and low cals per myfitnesspal.com.
  17. Other than cateract surgery, this was the easiest by far.
