  1. - Can't edit post - why do I show "0 warning points"? I don't see that for anyone else. - What happened to the date I joined?
  2. I can't post with Firefox 11. I have to use the "more reply options"
  3. Me too. I still forget I have a band sometimes and just start eating normally. It only takes a couple of bites to get that feeling of impending doom.
  4. When I first started the LD I had a slight headache for about 2.5 days. And also the runs. I ate lots of sugar free popsicles too. Just letting you know. Good luck!
  5. Not knowing you or your family it is really hard to say. But I do know this, once you tell you can't take it back. I only told two people I absolutely had to tell. Much to my dismay, they have told many people.
  6. I personally welcome any and all opinions about the band. Everyone should have their say without being judged or assumptions being made.
  7. Night sweats can also be a sign of thyroid problems.
  8. I found this. Not promoting it, just fyi http://www.walmart.com/ip/Slim-Fast-3-2-1-Low-Carb-Diet-Creamy-Chocolate-4-pk-10-fl-oz/19399640
  9. Go ahead and get rescheduled. No point in stressing yourself. Life is short.
  10. Good luck to you! And you are right....... the pre op is hard, but worth it.
  11. Oh okay, Thanks. I had seen it on here before but didn't know what it meant.
  12. What does DH mean?
  13. My surgeon says it is okay to open Prilosec, which comes in a capsule.
  14. My port is about 6 inches above my naval and an inch to the left. It doesn't bother me at all sleeping or moving around and it doesn't show, yet. I got the lap band because I finally came to the realization I was never going to be able to keep weight off through diet alone. I got banded in Oct 11 and so far I consider it a success. Good luck to you!
  15. My hair is falling out too. I have been taking biotin for about 3 weeks. I figure that isn't long enough to tell a difference though.
  16. Ha! I don't think i am superior to anyone. I thought what she said was funny. Sorry if you had a bad day.
  17. 4 weeks, but he put 3 ccs in during surgery
  18. Thanks for that info. I do notice on here that a lot of peoples docs give fills before the 6 week mark and do not use fluoroscopy.
  19. Yes I am now. But of course I wasn't always. Never had a problem with people eating in front of me. It has no effect on me.
  20. Wal Mart online carries Atkins shakes and other brands also.
  21. Proven fact? Okay where is your proof? Not saying it doesn't exist. I would just like to read that study.
  22. Ha. I think they mean tummy tuck. I am laughing because some of these abreviations on here confuse me too.
  23. I would assume the carb drinks pass right through your band to the main stomach. If so, it wouldn't stretch your pouch.
  24. I could care less what someone eats in front of me. Get a grip on yourself first before you get one on him/her/them.
