Hey Jessy, sorry you're going through this. I myself am in the mushee stage post-op. probably about 4 days now.. and I just know I have gained! I'm eating. Not like i used to but when I'm hungry I grab something. It WILL get better and keep your chin up. It's going to take time. You've already taken the right steps by getting banded. So congratulations on that!

oohhhhhh it's killing me! Was banded 5/23 and I'm anxious to hit the water! that's my daily exercise. It's a chlorinated pool and it's public but I swim at the Y here and how do i miss it so! lol

This is why I only told close family members, and only a cpl of my closest friends. I don't need every time you see me to ask me "how much I lost and am I doing it right and eating right-since someone I know lost... " Which is why i keep it to myself and just say i'm working hard at it because it's true. i am.

Anyone else experience nausea while laying on your stomach? I laid on my stomach, not even fully on it and instantly started to feel tha hot and cold all over feeling so I got up and instantly felt nauseous. Thankfully it went away in a cpl of min or so. Anyone else experience this? Thanks in advance.

I went for my 2 week on thurs and i agree, my incision doesn't look bad at all. none of em. i'm very happy. Now on to my mushees! lol

Hi all I had was banded on 5/23 and am wondering how long should I wait before I remove the bandages? and I don't mean the steri strips, i mean the rather large bandages covering the strips. I saw my surgeon the day after surgery but that was something that totally slipped my mind. So how long did each of you wait before you removed em? Or did you let em fall off on their own?

Interested in chatting with like minded people.. hope all have been well and successful with their banding so far.

OMG, this sounds super delicious. Can't wait to try this quiche when i get on solids. lol about to graduate to the mushies tomorrow. I can't wait.

I really like this response and your meals. my diet will hopefully be something like this. I was banded on 5/23 and haven't even been to see my surgeon yet. I can't wait to get out to the Y. You're so inspirational with your story and advice, thanks a lot. I also appreciate it.

Debbie! Gurl u are not alone. I was banded on 5/23 and went through it myself had the runs up till yesterday due to all clear liquids. I recently upgraded my soup to cream of potatoe and voila all gone. I just mushed the potatoes up really well and i guess it's sticking to me well. Quelled the diarrhea. Hang in there. This will all be worth it in the end. Believe it.

I totally agree with Dave. As a "Morbidly Obese" individual looking at a weight scale only i would maybe "think" something like that depending on your height.. like I would "Kill" to be at your size and stay there. Maybe thats what she's thinking? hm. I don't know but she could have not even been looking at the health reasons. She doesn't know u, I feel she was giving u a left handed compliment like girl you look good and thick! nothing stated negatively. lol but then u never know with people sometimes.

Yes, I had pain in my throat but I knew it was from the intubation. That I felt the pain from the most. I love to sing around my house and couldn't do that for a long while. Its healing everyday. Good luck with the work tom. I'm satying out till next mon! Lol not rushingmy healing. I do a lot of traveling around the city for work. Hope u take it easy tomorrow andwill let u know what doc says.

Thanks for the advice. Wil call my surgeons office in the morning. @NjGirl- I'm feeling really good! I've been taking the cream of chicken soup but not eating the chicken pieces because the broth is doing nothing for me. Down 15lbs since last week so I'm wonderful. How about u? Any pain? Gas? Getting in enough protein? I'm not. Lol good luck to u. @ sweetpea.. hmm interesting.

Does anyone know how long we should be inhaling on the inhalation exercise thing they give u after surgery? I had surgery on the 23rd but I forgot a while today to inhale on it. I'm feeling pretty good and just realized I don't even know how long i should be using it. lol Trying to follow these rules to a T, I don't want pneumonia. Thanks.

You and me both to all of the above!! lol also banded on the 23rd and had to just grin and bare it with everyone doing bbqs. Its because I'm starving I know. This liquid diet is whooping my butt. Got me running all day.But I digress.. lol we can do this and stay focused. Good luck to us all!

I was banded on 5/23 and boy am i starving.. I just did a lil cheating i think. lol had cream of potato Soup today from campbells. mushed the potatoes up very well and added Water and boy did it hit the spot. I felt normal for awhile. But I also have the diarrhea daily since i'm not eating and not really getting in the Protein. Can't wait to progress to mushies. My stomach rumbling has become more background noise. Meaning its normal and I pay it no mind. lol but it is weird when i'm around company- they stare at me. lol but this too shall pass. Good luck everybody!

I was banded 5/23 and I also get a quick sharp sudden pain in my left side under my ribs. I've relatively had no problems just basic incision pain. Till this AM and I woke up with this sharp pain and have had all day. I thought it was gas. I hope that's it.

Sistersue- its important in the way the taste makes me regurgitate and heave. That is just as important if not more so. So taste is definitely up there in importance.
