  1. That seems really long. I was told that they would run a urinalysis the day of surgery, if there was nicotine in my urine they would cancel
  2. That stinks. I am sorry.
  3. I like the quest bars also.
  4. The waiting game sucks. I am on the final wait. I have my approval, surgery date just waiting for that day to get here. Each waiting stage had it's own set of anxiety. None of it fun

Pinterest can suck hours of my time Love it.
  6. I am glad they kept you if there was any concern. Hope your recovery is uneventful at home
  7. I am sorry. I can see you are frustrated. I hope that you continue to work the plan. Have you been able to see other improvements? Lowering of any meds, coming off them completely, more energy?
  8. That is awesome your insurance is covering all that. Good Luck
  9. Have you tried changing the temp of the liquids?
  10. It does sound odd. I would want what the money is being used to cover. With OK sleever I would have loved to pay one fee for nutrition and exercise classes. That imo sounds like a great way to help one be successful. My program requires one NUT class and would love everyone to take a second but insurance does not require it.
  11. Glad you are feeling well. Hope the rest of recovery goes well
  12. That is awesome. My bc/bs pays it all but my inpatient copay which will be around $500. It will be the best $500 I have ever spend.
  13. Your body can only absorb about 30g protein at a time. You won't want to go much higher than that or you will waste the protein.
  14. How far out from surgery? Heating pads have been recommended here. Are you using liquid tylenol?
  15. Congrats to both of you. It is an exciting journey. Looking forward to start my journey in under 2 weeks.
  16. Your son is very insightful. Good job raising him.
  17. I do not think it is just a money making scheme. In fact it costs the insurance company money to have it done. They want to make sure you will be as successful as possible. So many times, I have read people have some magical thinking about what surgery will do for them. IT will get them a boyfriend/ girlfriend, a better job, etc. Surgery will only make your stomach smaller. Your head has to be in the right place to make the changes that allow you to lose weight.
  18. Seems like time is dragging now.. I am glad my kids are back in school as that will keep me busier.
  19. Wow You have had quite the life journey. Thank you for sharing your story.
