  1. Polly, Best of luck on the start of your new journey!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Thanks Smokey, You are right, it is very interesting to see what different doctors want us to do. I am really staring to get hungry, my post op appointment is 1/25 hope he will give me a fill!
  3. Hi CincyUdy, Had my surgery 1/14/11, so far I have lost about 25llbs. My doctor wants post surgery, 2wks liquid 2wks musy foods and then solids, so one thing I have found out by being on this sight is everyone is different, how they lose and doctors require different diets. But I would think if most people who stick to the above restrictions they should definitely loose weight. But the band is to be used as a tool to loose, but slowly so you can remain healthy. I am about where you are now, and need to get down to 150llbs also, but I feel like with time and work, I will "DEFINITELY" reach my goal! Best of Luck
  4. Hope on 1/25 my doctor will give me some ideas for the itching, it's really increasing and at times driving me crazy.
  5. Dear duffy777, Wow, so sorry to hear about the blood clots, that must have been scary..............but it's better for you that they found them prior to surgery, even though it extends the liquid diet and surgery date. But the good thing is Feb. 1st is just around the corner! Best of luck to you....let me know how you do.
  6. Congratulations Renee, I was banded on 1/14/11, and so ready for my life/body to change. You were fortunate with your insurance it took me 6 month diet program. I am also diabetic, hope you did well yesterday!!!!!!!!! Keep me posted............Lori
  7. Hey Loves, I think everyone is scared and the pre-surgery diet is not something I don't think anyone looks forward to! What really helped me is reading post from other bander's and trying to stay positive.............this can change your entire life/body, which I am so ready for. Best of luck.........keep me posted
  8. Hi, Was just banded 1/14/11 very excited to be changing my life/body.......... Wanted to know if anyone out there is Gluten sensitive ? Thanks for any input.............
  9. Will be thinking of you on Mon. I had the same surgery date as you and they just used terry strips. Just really starting to get some what itchy on the entry points. Wish you the best...........
  10. Surgery went very well, on my 4th day out and doing great, have been out several times already. No real pain to speak of but I have had major surgeries in the past, so this was a piece of cake comparably.
  11. Getitgirl, Best of luck for your surgery............you are very fortunate to have Tri-Care......... it's a 3rd insurance for me, so had to go thru with the 6 month diet plan and go thru all the hoops. But Just had surgery 1/14/11 and doing great, looking forward to all the changes! Best of luck to you and hope your Gall Bladder surgery goes well also, keep me posted!
