  1. I know what your going through. As much as I want to not cheat I can't keep my mind off of food right now. I am soooooo craving fried potatoes and onions today. I love me some country foods. My mind has changed but my body has figured out how not to what the crazy food yet. I just keep finding things to do to keep my mind off it as much as possible. It's hard when you have three little boys who always want me to make them food. I wish I didn't have a kitchen to tempt me. Monday is my final appointment b4 my surgery on Friday. I keep waiting for something to go wrong to stop or postpone the surgery. I will be so happy when this part is over.
  2. I was under my BMI much more than you are and I have Anthem too. I was approved with 2-3 weeks. Health issues make a difference. The measured me an inch taller than I thought I was too. Good Luck! By the way I'm scheduled for surgery on Jan. 7th.
  3. Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Weight Loss Tools I finding it hard to get my 1000 cal in on my Pre-op diet. I guess your body gets use to not having so much. I gonna walk a little more today and see if tht helps. I don't want my body to hang on calories.
  4. Feeling better today. Played with the Wii today. Fun, fun, fun.
  5. I am currently on a two week Pre-op liquid diet. I've heard this is the hardest part. My surgery is scheduled for Jan. 7th. I have already lost 9+ pounds. I can't wait to shop, buy, and the wear some of the clothes I have been looking at. I am already feeling healthier. Everyday that passes I feel more sure that I'm doing the right thing. I think a support group is great for answering questions, one on one contact with others who are dealing with the same feelings as you are. If you can go even if its only once in awhile, do it. You gonna be great.
  6. He everyone, I am so excited about this process that I can hardly stand it. I was afraid that I wouldn't have any energy during the pre-op liquid diet but I actually have more. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to care for my three grandsons who live with me. They are ages 12, 10, and 4 years. But, the fact is- I have more. Who knew?
  7. Hi All! I am so excited that I can't stand it. Finally, someone is going to help me. I feel like someone just gave me an army to help me fight the evil FAT king. Yup! just a little dorky but, I am really happy so forgive me please. I live in Reseda Ca. I am 52 years old and raising three grandchildren as a single "parent." I need all the help I can get. I'm on a 2 wk pre-op liquid diet. And, I feeling great!
  8. Hi there, I understand the main reason to do a preop diet is to lose weight from around your liver to make it easier on you and the doctor during sergery. If it is to large he will have to move it.
  9. Hi, I think I was scheduled about a week after approvial. The surgery will be about 1 month after approvial. Good Luck
  10. Good for you! I'm right behind you on the 7th. ; D
  11. Hello, It took me about two or three weeks after I had a psych. eval. Good Luck!
  12. Hi, I went through the same thing. I went to a couple of doctors and ended up throwing out the information they game me. But, I finally realized that I would have done it without the surgery if I could have. I need help. You have to make this decision for yourself. But, don't let fear over come your brain. We take a chance every day we live in over weight, unhealthy bodies. If you have the surgery something could go wrong. If you don't have the surgery something will go wrong. That's just my thought about my surgery. Good Luck!
  13. Hi there, I'm not sure what you mean by a 6 or 3 month wait. I was approved within 2-3 weeks. Did some test and am now scheduled within 1.5 month of my start date for surgery. I am scheduled for Jan. 7th. I also did not meet the BMI of 40 but, had health issues. I am so excited to be on this journey.
