Learned soo much and was able to calm down seeing I am not the only one!! I have only gained 9lbs.. I am filled 8.5CC and so far have not had any troubl;e...No port pain, no morning sickness, the only thing is I may feel the band tighter some days than others... Congrats and enjoy it... Stay active and watch what you eat!!
  2. I am 19 weeks pregant and filled 8.5CC . So far I haven't had any issues with my band. If anything I feel as I can eat more than before. I do feel it tight at times and I just have to chew well or limit my food. I don't plan to unfill unless I need too.. So far I have only gained 9lbs.. But I am trying to work out, walk and keep active. Will keep everyone posted.
  3. Thank you so much for replying!!! This site is great! I got my band in August 2009, found out I was pregnant in December 2009. I was shocked! So many questions are being answered on this site !
  4. Don't worry I am 12 weeks pregnant and have the same symptoms.. I was concerned at first but discussed with my Dr. and it is normal. We are one of the lucky ones who don't have morning sickness.. I am nauseated as well and don't get an appettite.. All I want is fruit and sour candy.. I also lost 12lbs and feel I am losing inches... ! So, I am sure it's normal. Good luck !
  5. I am now 12 weeks pregnant and seem to be getting a belly ( First pregnancy I am new to all this) and for some reason I can feel my port now. when I am rubbing my stomach. Is that normal??? Should I be feeling it without pressing?
  6. I really doubt it's the Lap Band.. I am pregnant and am not nauseated, or suffered of morning sickness. But maybe I am the only one who feels that way. My band is tight 9cc... and I feel great!
  7. Thanks Aspen... How much did you lose during your pregnancy?? BTW my OB/GYN told me not to unfill my band but, my Lap Band surgeon told me to do so.. I honestly don't want too. I feel perfectly fine ! My band is at 9CC (pretty tight) and I feel that I have no restrictions...
  8. Congrats!!! I can soo relate being that I am 9 weeks pregnant and no morning sickness nor do I feel restricted. My band was filled 4 weeks ago to 9CC and there are days I feel it tighter than others... but, I feel that thanks to the band I can control the cravings, eat healthy and my baby gets the nutrients.. ! I am so happy to hear your story and CONGRATULATIONS on the baby and weight loss !
  9. The only hair issue I am experiencing is "Hair loss" I have very thick coarse hair and now it's just everywhere on the floor. I am shocked on how much hair loss I have. This was even before pregnancy.. Not sure if it's the band or what...
  10. I had my surgery on August 2010. I got pregnant in November. I am now 9 weeks pregnant. I was not planning but it happened. So far all is good. I am glad that I have the band because it allows me to eat what I crave but also eat in moderation. As of today I lost 10lbs. !
  11. I am 9 weeks pregnant my last fill was when I was 6 weeks ( I didn't know I was pregnant). I was debating to unfill the band but, honestly I feel that I can eat well and I am lucky that I have not had any morning sickness. I got my surgery in August 2010 and Now I am pregnant. Really sucks because I was at the point where I was losing weight again, Since I found out I was pregnant and got my band filled I lost 9lbs. I was concerned that maybe it was not normal especially when I didn't suffer of morning sickness. I am soo glad to hear the different experiences,. My Ob/Gyn has no problem with me having my band tighht as long as I can eat and take my prenatals. Thanks all for sharing your experiences this really helps and answers a lot of my questions.
  12. I am 9 weeks pregnant and have the band. I have not had any morning sickness and thought it was due to the band that was preventing it. I see I am wrong. I have my band pretty tight but, I don't find any problems eating and keeping healthy. I crush my prenatal pills and take them mixed in water. I have lost a total of 9lbs since I found out I was pregnant 3 weeks ago, but I have again no morning sickness. Anyone else experienced this?
