  1. Yesterday was my day of surgery and everything went real good. I walked a lot while in the hospital to help with gas. I am in a little pain from the incisions but other than that not much pain. I will be on liquids this week then get to move on to pureed foods by the end of the week. Hope everyone is well! Allison

Hello Everyone, I am officially only two days away from being banded! I am super excited but also nervous. The lap band will be a new beginning for me. I have struggled with my weight for most of my life. I have tried every diet known to man. After much discussion with my husband we decided that the lap band would be best for me and the both of us. So, I started my journey..... First- my appointment with the surgeon went very well. I was a great candidate for the Lap Band since my BMI is 44.... I was totally shocked when I found this out. Second - my appointment with the nutritionist, it was very helpful in seeing what I would be eating after I was banded. Third -my second appointment with the surgeon to set the date. I chose a date that would allow me to be off of work and not miss anything that meant the week before Christmas, Dec 17th. (My surgeon was like what are you thinking! I was thinking no better time than the present!) Fourth- the pre-op diet I started on Dec 10th and boy was it hard. But I have been doing it, clear liquids all week ONLY!!! Only one more day left. So to continue my journey I only have one day left of clear liquids then it will be time for my banding journey to begin...... let it begin! Allison
