  1. Thank you! I was afraid I was having some weird side affect because of my asthma. Honestly, I can't wait until it doesn't hurt to lay flat and I can sleep in my own bed again! Hopefully we can chat again soon. There are very few people that live out here that have had anything like this done, so I have no one local to talk to. I think these forums are going to be a lifesaver! Thanks for the peace of mind!
  2. I came on the site tonight looking for some promising answers, and I am so glad that I found this Forum! I had my surgery on Tuesday afternoon, and the people in my doctor's office told me that I would be ready to go back to work by Friday. I have been feeling like a total wimp, because there is no way I am heading back to work feeling like this. Now, after reading the comments, I feel like I may be feeling a more normal level of pain. There is bruising at my incision ports, and that is tender. I haven't been able to sleep in my own bed lying flat since I came home though, and I am a little concerned about that. I have the pain in my shoulder and gas, but my scariest feeling is not being able to take any deep breaths. It is really hard to breathe. Has anyone else experienced that? Thanks.
  3. Mine is tomorrow morning! I am a little nervous and Excited and anxious...but I think it's going to be the start of something great! For myself and my family!!

  5. After the second appeal, Tricare finally approved my Surgery!!! YEAH!! My surgery date is January 3rd. I guess my New Years resolution to lose weight won't be just talk and failed attempts anymore!
  6. Hi there. I am also a Military wife, up in Washington. Do you know how your Surgeon got the approval? Tricare just denied mine. I am 5'3" and weigh around 210. I have gone through all of the pre surgery work ups, and have medical issues to boot. Acid Reflux, sleep Apnea, RLS, but they just denied it. I don't know what I should do now. From what you are saying, it should have been approved. HELP!!!!!
