Went to work, I'm a little slow moving, but here none the less! Still sore. Made a big mistake yesterday at lunch. My wife thought the tortilla soup at El Pollo Loco would be good. It tasted great but oh what a mistake. The fat or something in the broth really jacked with me and I was miserable with bloating and nausea till 10pm last night. Protein shake this morning went down ok. I'm mixing a high protein powder with about 4oz of slim fast high protein. Dr. wants me to get 100grams a day while on the liquids. Weight at pre op visit 268 Today:253 I enjoy the comments and thanks for listening.

1/10/07 2nd day home. Gas in stomach is less and just sore around incisions. Going to work for sure tomorrow. Not hungry yet but the commercials on tv are getting my attention.

Banded yesterday. Just really sore in stomach area. Have dull pain in upper left shoulder. Up and around just fine. Plan to go to work on Thursday. Crushed pill thing is really nasty. Will have to work on fixing that. So far not hungry because of the gas and slight soreness on the stomach. Wish me luck. The holes are really small no bruies and port site is ok. I'm amazed at how easy it was. I got my surgery at Cedars in La with a Dr. Cunneen. Really good staff and hospital.

Glad this is over. Not much pain mainly sore like a real bad pulled stomach muscle. Dull pain in top of left shoulder. Tylenol is working. Crushed meds are sicking, will have to do something about that. Going to take tommorow off then its back to work.

I know that many of the meds can be crushed or found in liquid. I was wondering if any of you just swallow them whole anyway without problems. My wife had gastric bypass last year and they have to take a whole handleful of vitamins everyday and they were told to do the same thing, crush or liquid. She finally gave up trying to get all of her meds switched and just started swallowing them whole without problems. She just gets a bit of a tummy ache if she does it on a empty stomach. Thanks

Where in Texas are you? I grew up in Corpus Christi and worked in Houston til 1988 before coming to CA.

I've been trying to get going but the holidays are really messing things up. The day after xmas I will start the protein shakes and see how that goes. By the way, my wife and daughter are in NYC now and are having a great time. We live near LA and I'm having it done at Cedars Sinai hospital.

Just got my date, Jan 8th. It has been a long 18 months to approval. Would like to share any info on my new doctor Scott Cunneen at Cedars in LA. Also, how do you get the little scale working below your name?
