    Trouble standing up straight

Yes! Thank you for asking. Got better every day. Mostly, it was due to the incisions. For me, I walked every day a little bit, made sure I rose up and sat down in the chair slowly, and I am temporarily using a cane to keep the stress off my stomach when moving around. Will be ditching the cane in a couple of days. Pain from the incisions is the only pain remaining but it is diminishing daily. How about you?

    One glass of wine....

Pre-op here. Just saw my nutritionist today. My surgeon has insisted on no carbonated drinks EVER, for life. There goes champagne. And White Claws. I asked why, and he said that consistent intake will expand your pouch. So I’m thinking I’m limited to like a champagne toast at the rare wedding and nothing else. my nutritionist told me however that alcohol is not off limits once in stage four of eating, just drink it slowly and try it at home. Get a Designated Driver if you’re out. Try to get something low in sugar to avoid dumping, like a shot diluted in ice with a lemon twist, or the old classic, a vodka cranberry.

    NSV of sorts

I had a similar experience today! Our administration is doing a week of treats for teacher appreciation... today I went into the work room to check my mailbox and there were cupcakes, Swedish fish, and some really cute beach themed decorations. I looked at all the cute decorations for a minute, checked my mailbox, and went back to my room without even thinking twice about a cupcake.

    Start of Week 4

Very early on, extremely soft vegetables (almost mush) will go down easier. Later on when you are able to eat more (volume) maybe able to pick and chose when you substitute vegetables for other things in your meals. It takes some time but eventually you’ll get the swing of it all.

I wanna play! I have a long way to go but I’m more than halfway there. Beginning photo was me at my highest weight of 255 a week before surgery. Second photo is me last week at 187. My goal weight is 130lbs. I’ll be 5 months postop on Saturday.

K, I really intended to write up a post on my 2 year anniversary (back in October!), but just never got around to it. I did make/update a little "progress" pic collage about a month ago, that again, I had meant to accompany a better-late-than-never anniversary post, but yep, just didn't get around to it. Anyhoo....this pic has been sitting in my albums for over a month now, and since I honestly have no real intention to write up an anniversary post (I'm like 2 yrs + 4 months now, lol), I'm just gonna post it here so it doesn't go to waste: 2 weeks pre-op: 235.0 lbs Surgery Date weight: 223.1 lbs Goal Weight: 127 lbs (7 myths post op) Current weight: 113.9 (this morning) P.S. I'll try to do a proper anniversary post at the 3 yr mark...lol
