    Surgery today! Nov 3

I slept till after four am! Better than I thought. Today is the day! I gotta be at the hospital at 8:30 a.m. (45 min drive which isn’t bad for my rural area). I got nerves! My life is already better by loosing 90 lbs this calendar year, over 100 in less than 18 months. Good things gotta be in store for me. It’s my time to live life and be happy and not embarrassed about my size all the time. good luck to all going through pre op, post op or surgery today, or even just preparing… we are all in this together.

    Thanksgiving 🦃

How far post-op are you? What restrictions do you still have from your surgeon? I am pretty disciplined about avoiding carbs during my day to day life, but I do make an exception for Thanksgiving. I will have turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. But instead of creating a heaping plate (and then going back for more), I'll have a plate that looks like it will feed a 4-year old.

    ESG after VSG

It is a non surgical approach to make the stomach smaller. Instead of surgically removing part of the stomach with VSG they go through the mouth with an endoscope to make the stomach smaller. There are less risk of side effects and the recovery is much faster than surgery.

    fDL tummy tuck done Tuesday

They were prepared to do a full FDL but he said after they got in there he felt a partial would give me great results. I can’t imagine having arms, thighs or butt done at the same time. The first week was rough! Now I don’t have pain but uncomfortable and tightness

Yes, you look great! I had a FDL tummy tuck along with an extended arm lift and a breast lift on August 24. The first few weeks are brutal, no lie, but you’ll be better so soon. I was questioning my choices at 3 weeks out but you’ll be back to normal in no time. I was able to go back to work after 2 weeks, light exercise after 4 and full running after 6. Now at two months out I’m back to my pre-surgery running speed and distances. They took 5 lbs off me, and man is there a huge difference now that the swelling is over.

Look up Youtube videos of the Ricotta Cheese Bake! It seems to be one of the more popular puree recipes online as it tastes like you're having a cheat meal. I feel this is one way to enjoy yourself on a special holiday!

Are you sure you are chewing well enough and not eating too fast. They can occur more often because of those things. For some people that is actually their full cue.
