    Sleeved and sent home

WOW! Im so shocked. I live in Dallas but didnt have surgery here. I had my sleeve, stayed in the hospital for 2 days then spent 2 days in a hotel where the doctor came to see me there each day. I cant imagine going home so fast. Im so glad everything went well for you. [emoji4][emoji106] 5' 5" HW: 259 CW: 235 GOAL: Healthy and hard 140-ish?

I actually haven’t told anyone about my surgery. The only person who knows is my husband and doctors of course. I’m scared for the reactions you’re describing, I tend to internalize a lot and take a lot of comments personally and for that reason I decided for my own peace of mind to keep it to myself. I’m sorry you’re dealing with negative people, I have found that people like that are usually feeling bad about things in their own lives and feel the need to tear others down a bit.

Started the process 7 months ago .really anxious about having the sleeve done. Kinda getting impatient about getting a surgery date. Just want them to call me already lol Sent from my SM-G920T using BariatricPal mobile app

((hugs)) Sorry about your miscarriage and happy about your 2 children. If it were me, I would do 2 things now. 1. Go see my WLsurgeon and get them to send me to a nutritionist and a therapist in that order. Start the 6 month documentation with the therapist now. Get to finally working on the eating behaviors that are keeping me heavy and down. Get all of my blood work done to r/o thyroid, endocrine issues and/or underlying medical conditions. 2. Start working on getting an approval for revision to DS and find a surgeon in my network that can do that revision surgery--not all surgeons will or can do revisions to DS or RNY. Honestly, at this present weight and with the problems you had losing to goal with the VSG and if it was me, I'd go nuclear on my weight. DS is THEEEEEEEE most effective wl tool from a malabsorption standpoint--especially given what I think may also be the emotional/psychological eating issues associated with the regain and present weight. BTW, no judgement here. We all deal with emotional/behavioral issues with food relationships that simply MUST be fixed if we want to have any hope of losing and keeping the weight off long term.

So, I'm very open about having the surgery and talk to my friends all about it. Most people are encouraging! However, I do have a select few friends who aren't so encouraging. One friend, who is bigger than me, told me I don't need the surgery and to lose the weight all on my own. He should know that it isn't that easy! For a while even my own sister said it was the "easy way out"... she understands now but... is anyone else getting negativity? Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    I’m a little nervous...

@Dashofpixiedust8 nice to see you again I'm unsuccessful visualizing your appearance with almost 300 lbs gone.!! what places did you have skin removal? tummy, arms etc.??? due to the your excess skin. IMO no way is a 2nd extender needed. you are amazing, being such a weight loss looser. (even though you are a winner!) more skin removal in the future??? you are close to loosing 300 lbs you can probably taste it. you should be a poster girl for WLS success!! happy flying keep up the great job. kathy

    Help me pls !! [emoji24][emoji24]

Take away 1 shake and add more veggies. Drink water water water and do HITT cardio 3 out of the 5 days. If you don't have a gym membership then walk for 3 min and run as fast as you can for 10 seconds. Do this in intervals for 30 min. Do this for 1 week and I bet the scale moves [emoji6] Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app

Does your policy spell out what is required for it to be covered? Or is it a specific exclusion? Many policies exclude certain plastics no matter the condition. Others (like mine) spell out specifics... for example a number of inches or a number of grams and no matter any other complications if you don't meet the specifics won't cover it. Getting a copy of your plan and its requirements will help you address them and hopefully get approved. I didn't meet my insurances specifics. So no matter the rashes/infections/mobility issues/clothing issues mine would not cover it. I paid out of pocket.

I had RNY gastric bypass surgery over 3 years ago. Overall I lost almost 120 pounds total (20 pounds pre-op and 100 pounds post-op) I now fall in the normal BMI category. Many of my health conditions (high blood pressure, diabetes, sleep apnea, severe acid reflux) have gone into remission and stayed there. I consider the surgery to be one of the best decisions that I ever made.
