@lsubabe33 Give up the protein shakes and eat real protein. Your body burns more calories when processing real food. You are also fuller for longer. Do you weigh all your food and track it? You posted very vague things about what you eat in a day. What are your macros like daily? What is your protein goal? Do you hit it every day? Why doesn't you Dr do surgery anymore? Do you think it is possible your sleeve was done incorrectly.

@JupiterinVirgo posted about having this issue recently. Maybe the two of you could discuss and see if there's anything in common? I'm sorry this is happening to you. Fantastic work on your weight loss, though! That's so awesome.

    Nerves only thing stopping me

I definitely struggled. I was petrified of complications and would convince myself I could do it without surgery. Then I'd change my mind. Right up until surgery I was a nervous wreck. But I did it and I'm so glad. Good luck!

4 days post-op and barely drinking

That's not enough, water should pass right through. Maybe you just don't want to drink, it happens...some people get so turned off everything they just don't want to drink.

As long as you get the sleeve instead of gastric bypass, there shouldn't be a problem. My mom got the bypass and because it shortens the intestines, you absorb fewer calories so you tend to lose more weight. With the sleeve, if you feel like you are losing too much weight, all you would have to do is adjust the types of foods you are eating and lean towards higher calorie foods and you would be fine. I have actually never heard of anyone becoming too thin from either surgery unless they develop post-op anorexia. Post op anorexia is super rare because instead of obsessing about food after your surgery, it kind of become in consequential.

    Pain?

There is no way to completely eliminate pain following a major surgery. It's a huge trauma to the body and the goal of post-surgery pain medication is to help bring pain down to tolerable levels. Additionally, with the current opioid/addiction issues so many areas in the country are grappling with, there has been a move across the board to decrease the amount of narcotics being prescribed for everyone. 21 years ago, prescribers used a very different set of standards to decide what pain meds to give and in what doses.

    Didn't tell my sister

@kheter55 I read my sister all over your post. She's 40. I actually don't even know where she's at. But anyway, I didn't tell her either in the beginning. I did at one point and nothing really good came out of her mouth. She's bipolar too, etc...a lot of mental problems. The only thing that I can encourage you about is...move on, and to move on is to forgive your sister for the things she's said. You can do this inside; doesn't mean you have to tell her this--most likely she wouldn't take it right anyway. This will allow you to have peace. She's your sister...love her but it doesn't mean you have to talk/share with her. Just don't hold the grudge; it'll help you in the long run. Blessings to you hon.

    Loose Skin

i want to fall in love with my body but the more i stand in front of the mirror i notice things i'm not starting to like. I'm only 24 and my breasts are starting to sag and it's turning into an insecurity. I totally forgot about those arm shapers so i'm definetly going to look into those. Good luck with everything! thanks so much for your input!
