    Regretting it

Post-Op regret is usually because you're in the phase where your surgery is all sacrifice with very little gain as you're still heavy. Old bad habits are still wanting to be satisfied, you're on a restricted diet, it's tough. This surgery is not a 1 week or a 1 month thing. It's a lifetime change. If you got it not knowing that, you're probably going to underperform in terms of your weight loss goals. If you can't manage some degree of food intake self control for the first few months while you're healing, you probably need emergency psychiatric intervention as this isn't something you can screw around with and not risk a potential blowout or tear. When you go this done you signed up for a new life. Welcome to it.

Got my surgery date!! I start my liquid pre-op diet on Monday. I thought I could eat lean meats and veggies but I am being told protein liquid by my nurse. Any advice , these 2weeks are going to be difficult.

I feel really good as well. I had no pain, nausea or vomiting two days out. Today some soreness but nothing I can't handle. Walking helps keep everything moving and flowing so I don't get stiff.

    Still in hospital

Been in the hospital since surgery Thursday. Can't get enough liquids in for me to leave. It hurts like hell. Surgery wasn't that bad, not much gas until I start to drink and I've been walking a lot. Hoping to go home today but we'll see

    Pre op diet and depression

Good for you on not giving into the temptation even though you bought McDonald's. Those two weeks are tough. It's hard realization of what kind of power food holds over us. I used it as a time of reflection and got a better understanding of what my relationship with food needed to be like after surgery. The sudden cutoff of sugar & carbs can play havoc on your body, and the anxiety leading up to surgery doesn't help either. You're going through the toughest part of the 2 weeks. Days 3-5 were my difficult time, but once I was past it the rest wasn't so bad. Keep yourself busy and do things you enjoy. Hang in there. It does get better!

I've had the same problem and taken the sane thing. AMITZA DOES WORK BUT THEY USUALLY PRESCRIBE WITH Reglan. Ask your doctor. Yes, it mad me very nauseous because my stool was to hard to pass. Praying for you. I'm in the same situation

    Taking a bath

They make waterproof bandages if you are really worried about them getting wet. Enjoy! I know i loved my first hot soaking bath after surgery.
