MissBS 3 Posted May 30, 2009 I too want to know how the tummy tuck was. How painful? Did you pay for it (cash) or did you find a way to have insurance pay? Thanks for sharing and for any help you can give me. I always read your posts - you are an inspiration to me. Thanks again. Becky 1 ronnie87 reacted to this Share this comment Link to comment
Penweary 1 Posted May 30, 2009 I found them! You look fantastic! Congratulations on all your success! 1 ronnie87 reacted to this Share this comment Link to comment
Sue Magoo 71 Posted May 30, 2009 Thank you everyone! MissBS: It was very painful the first 24 hours because of dry heaving due to anesthesia. After that it was tolerable. It was more painful than I thought it would be for first 24 then okay after that. It does kick your butt in the energy department. I am not back to energy level yet after 15 days. I had BCBS HMO. They covered approx. 2/3 because of rashes that were documented (and pictures taken) by both my LapBand Doctor and the Plastic Surgeon. I had almost $7,000 out of pocket cost. Thank you for telling me that I am an inspiration to you. It helps to keep me on track . I'm in MA, so medical is very expensive in this area. Best wishes to you if you go down the tummy tuck path. 1 ronnie87 reacted to this Share this comment Link to comment

heidib 15 Posted January 23, 2010 amazing!!!!! post some more!! love seeing them! 1 ronnie87 reacted to this Share this comment Link to comment
Sue Magoo 71 Posted January 24, 2010 Thank you heidib. I'm pretty much the same as I was in those pics except I'm about ten pounds heavier. I've levelled out between 185 to 190 and I'm satisfied at this weight. Still wearing 12's and 14's and happy to be an average-sized woman. Most of my extra weight is carried in my legs and there's no chance of my having surgery to remove it and if I lost 30 more pounds to get rid of it my face and neck and chest will be gaunt. When I was in the 170's I got asked if I was ill a few times because my face gets so drawn and tired and my collar bones are very prominent. I'll change my ticker some day to reflect my current weight in the mid to high 180's. So, here I am at my still at my goal size. :thumbup:My scars healed very well from the tummy tuck. Best wishes to you. Sue 1 ronnie87 reacted to this Share this comment Link to comment
xavier 153 Posted January 28, 2010 Are you sure about insurance covering 2/3 of the TT? Because if you paid 7 thousand the total would be 21 thousand...for a tummy tuck! That scares me because I didnt think they were so expensive!!PS You look great...thanks for showing us the pix! Share this comment Link to comment
cwm812 11 Posted February 20, 2010 Sue, I just found these pictures today and you look great, and they are a big help to me. You see, I've gone from 350 to 189 and my body shape is very similar to yours. I'm 49 and I just can't decide if I want to go through the surgery. I'm not having problems with infections, so I doubt that I could get anything paid by insurance. Thanks again for sharing the pictures. Cindy Share this comment Link to comment
losingwgt 0 Posted July 29, 2010 You look great Sue...thank you for your honesty, it is so valuable to have the experience of others who have been there-done that. Those pictures are great! Share this comment Link to comment
LargeMediumSmall 3 Posted September 15, 2011 Great pics. Thank you so much for posting them. I am a size 10/12 (170 pounds) now and have the same sort of profile as your photo. My TT is scheduled for October 19 by the same surgeon who did my lap band. I've very excited but like to be informed. Your info really helped me. Thank you. Share this comment Link to comment
