I don't know if your family is near you, but this is a good time of year to hire a mother's helper. If you know a say, 10 -13 year old that likes to baby sit. They could help with the bending and lifting that comes with a baby that age. They can keep the baby entertained while you heal up.

Is your husband going to take any time off as well? My kids are school age now *sad face* and he really stepped up and into the routine. He had to leave work earlier than normal, but didn't have to take any full days. Over the weekend HE was chef, chauffeur, etc.! Knowing that was in place really helped me to relax and not try to do too much.

Best wishes on your surgery!
