The Beginning of the Journey

So it looks like this thing really might happen! I have done all the pre-testing and went to my first support group the other night so I am feeling more comfortable. It helps to talk to people who have actually gone through it. I am trying to help myself before the surgery too. Haven't had fast food for over a month! That is a big thing because we would do fast food for lunch every day at work! Have brought lunch everyday! Eating lots of chicken and vegetables. Been pretty good about going to the gym too. I have lost 10.5 lbs so far. Just hope I can get this scheduled before I fall off the wagon. See the surgeon on 3/4/09 and then he has to submit to insurance and then we play the waiting game.

I know this website will be a great help! So here's to making loads of friends and becoming a proud member of the lap-band society!

LAP-BAND Patients

welcome... I am new here myself. Had my surgery 2-13-09 and feeling pretty good. My biggest fears before the surgery was approvals, but it happened! Good luck to you...sounds like you are on the right track already!
