4 days post-op, why does it feel like it's been so much longer?

It's been 4 days since my surgery and I'm struggling a bit. The pain is still pretty intense and I'm so ready for this gas bubble that has been causing me so much pain to go away!

I'm able to get about 2-3oz in per meal but I think I'm going to have to change to something lactose free. I'm having horrible diarrhea and am so ready to be done with it. I know that many people have this and once you get to mushies it gets better but I'm ready now, LOL.

I'm down 12lbs from two days before surgery so I'm excited about that. I know I will not lose at this rate for long but it is nice to see the scale doing down everyday.

On the whole I'm doing well but just have a few glitches here and there. I know the worst is over and it should get better from here.

Excited to continue the journey

LMAO! Your right it will get better....and when you keep seeing that weight come off, you'll laugh about the couple of weeks after....it sucks, but well worth it. I remember that feeling, but I don't mind now...specially when I'm finally getting into a pair of size 6 jeans. I wish the best for you and enjoy the journey...even the little bumps in the road.

So much for the encouragement. It's people like you who have been doing this for years and succeeded that inspire me.
