Thanks for the helpful info. I am looking forward to the band to get rid of my diabetes.....i have tried everything and have been at a stand still for 5 years...so frusterating

Yes, this was a great blog. Hey dolphanatic22 I also have diabetes and I have had weight problems for years. I got diabetes 2 yrs ago. I got banded on 11/20 and I don't take Actos at all anymore. I take half the amount of Metformin. It is wonderful.

Jules - Thanks that is exciting. I would love to be off my metformin and my tricor(for high triglycerides). I quit smoking, after 15 years of it, in May of 07 - so if I can do that, hopefuly I can stick with this.
