New to site and the band world.........

Hello all, my name is Rae. I was banded on December 2, 2008. I am almost 2 weeks out. I feel great. I have always been a big girl. I never ever remember a skinny Rae. I had thought about the band for a long time and researched alot before I did it. I am a nurse, so Ive seen some people do really well and some that do not so well. I was determined that I would do well. And I have done well so far. Although I know the journey has just begun. My starting weight was 280 and Im at 270 now. I see the surgeon on wednesday. I am excited to see what the next few weeks will be like for me. I have learned that this is truelly a tool for me. No quick fixes here. Hope all is well and a Merry Christmas to all.:rolleyes2:
