New Lapband Member

Hi Everyone.

I had my lapband surgery last monday the 9th of June. So far its been going well. Some days I feel weak because for the 1st 2 weeks I am on liquids. I weigh myself and I dropped 11 pounds. it's not easy. I had my stomach worked on not my sense of smell and everything smells sooooooo good now that I can't eat it. It's even harder because I have a daycare and I have to feel the children. My kids are being very helpful by not eating in from of me and I find myself watching less tv because every commercial is about food. TV really doesn't help so I a going to start reading more ahah. Every so often I am feeling pain in my neck and shoulder which i never had before the surgery. I felt it when I woke up from the surgery. I wonder if that is normal. I call my doctor and I am waiting for a call back. I am also feeling pain under my ribcage especially when I lay down. My port is on my left side and when I lay on that side it hurts. So right now its hard for me to get some good sleep.

Does anyone have any suggestions. Help:confused:

The pain in your neck and shoulder is the remaining gas they put in when they do the surgery. The only thing that will help that is walking. I totally understand what you are going through, my head wants everything, even more than before. It sucks, but is seems to get easier. You are doing great for such a short time since surgery! Congratulations!
