Its done!

This past Thursday morning I had the Lap-banding procedure completed. After checking into the hospital at 6am, I was wheeled of to surgery shortly after 7am. According to the doctor all went, everything went as planned. I was in my room shortly after 10am and my wife joined me just a few minutes later. Though, I was groggy I wasn't feeling to worst for wear. It wasn't until the following day, Friday, that I had any sizable discomfort. It was after leaving the hospital heading home that I started to feel a bit uneasy in the stomach region. We got home and I immediately found the comfort on my chair and took some meds. I was sleeping there after.

Now, this morning was much different. I am feeling pretty good, just a bit of discomfort, not much. I have been moving about the house all day and even a short jont outside to untangle the dog.

I haven't felt any hunger pains or emptiness at all. I am slowly consuming my water requirement and sucking on jello squares.

Thus far chicken and coffee (yes decaf) are unappealing. I have been drinking beef broth, water and jello. There are so many choice to the jello alphabet on can't get too bored.

I had more stomach pain from a small navel hernia repair than I have had for this process...so far!
