7 deaths i n Victoria

Today I was watching our local news and a report came up about how there had been 7 deaths in Victoria regarding the band! Of course within 1 minute my mum called me in a total state of panic! I was so sure I was going to do this and still am but that still plays in your mind! I figure that I m going to die anyway with this extra weight sooner then i planned so i need to take the small risk and do this because in 28 years so far nothing has worked....I have heard great stories from other Ausssie bansters and seen fantastic results and I wanna be in there shoes to!:tt2:

Well this is now me a year later and I am happy to say Im banded and have been for near 12 months next week!!! I have recorded my journey on www.beenabeena.blogspot.com Im down near 40kg (80lbs I think my metric terms may be out abit). Ive got another 20 to go and plan on getting it off in the next 12 months!:biggrin:

Ok what do you mean deaths from the band????? OMG so what were the details did you catch those? I mean WOW.

Is there a web site that I could go on to read about these cases? Were they patients of the same doctor? In the same hospital? Were the deaths back-to-back or spread out over a few years?

Have you had your band put in yet? I also heard stories about people who have died due to complications with the band but I figured the same as you. If the last 20 years haven't killed me it will eventually without the band anyway. I am happy that I had it done and am working on my weight loss now. I hope eveything goes well for you. Good Luck!
