Seminar

I went to the seminar a few nights ago. I found it interesting and informative. There were about 40-50 people there. I arrived late, sat in the back, checked my cell phone, saw the signal was blocked, felt safe. Of course, a text message signal came through, and I pretended that the ensuing little LOUD tune could not have possibly been coming from my bag. After people turned their attention back to the presentation, I turned my phone off. There was a guy who'd had the lap band done some time ago. He'd lost 230 pounds, I think. He was so happy and pumped, said he loves to exercise, doesn't miss eating the foods he can't have. When he said no steak, I had to stop - I LOVE steak! I thought about it, figured I've eaten enough steak in my lifetime, decided I'd rather feel better for the rest of my lifetime than feel good for a little while from eating steak. I plan to attend the support group meetings while on my quest to lose the initial 15 pounds before I can have surgery.:D
