It's done!!

It really didn't take long at all - 16 days after seeing the Surgeon I was banded on 16 March 2007.

Thank God the Australian health system is not like the US.

I managed to lose 4.5 kg prior to the operation, so from 122kg start I was at 117.

Went to St John's at 11.00am on Friday 16th and was home on Saturday 17th around noon.

Today is Thursday 22nd March and I am hovering around the 112-113kg mark, so I have lost 10kg since 1 March 2007!!!

I am feeling fine with no pain or hunger. Got my period on Tuesday and could even weigh a little less.

I am aiming to being under 110kg by the time I see the Surgeon for my 2 week post op check up.

Then I would like to see about 2-3 kg come off every week for about 10 weeks!!

Getting to less than 100kg will be a big milestone.:clap2:

I started morning walks on Tuesday (3 days post op) and am having no problems - not going as fast as I used to, but that will come back to me.

I am eager to start back at the Gym - even if I can only do cardio.

A bit premature, I know, but I started trying on some smaller work clothes stored in a spare wardrobe. Was surprised that some pants and blouses already fit.

Went shopping and spoilt myself today. Bought a bracelet (as an external reminder of my internal bracelet!), 2 gorgeous pairs of shoes, some hair ornaments, a blouse and a cardigan that will be fine for at least another 20kg and a lippy!

Didn't really want to buy any clothes but think the blouse will be nice for a special occassion I have to attend with my Dad in June.

While I am not really hungry per se, I am looking forward to some creamy, cheesy, chivesy scambled eggs once I can have mushies.
