Only a few weks out!

blogs/blog-0327966001377825111.jpgI am brand new to the site! My boyfriend suggested me joining for some support. My surgery is September 16th. I am nervous and excited! I have questions about what I should buy before the surgery and what to expect after. I am also wondering a lot about how the days after will be. I have a new job and I am worried how long I will be out for. I am trying to be back to work after 4 days... Is this realistic? I would appreciate any advice! Thanks!

From everything I've read here and from what the doctor and nurse told me, you will still be very sore 4 days out from surgery. I was told to count on being home from work a minimum of two weeks.

I am one week out... was sleeved 8/21. I went back to work yesterday. It was a little push but I am not sore at all.... mostly I think it's being tired from not enough food. Literally.... remember by 4 days out you really haven't eaten anything to speak of unless you want to count popsicles and jello. My job is pretty sedate. I own a salon and am a nail tech. So I sit....I even have done two pedis. If your job is more demanding I'd take more time. Every surgery is unique....you might feel great.... you might feel terrible. Prepare for both. That way you will be covered.
