Last "fat" Shopping Trip

blogs/blog-0252167001371920384.jpgI am going to Hawaii next week . I am packing my "fat" clothes for their last vacation (hope they enjoy themselves). In go the shorts, the tanks, the camis, the maxis....then my husband stops me. "Are you taking that nightie?" - not because he doesn't like it but because we are traveling with another family and sharing a condo. Needless to say the sleeping garment is not PG!

 

So today in addition to going for a pedi I am also going to my favorite Plus size store to bring my sleeping options in line with Disney standards.

 

This could possibly be my last trip there to pay for clothing at top prices because of it being plus size. Seems somewhat anti-climatic having the last item I buy be PJ's. Considering the relationship I have had with this store is longer than the one I have with my dear husband - shouldn't this break up be BIGGER. Shouldn't there be some shouting and throwing of vases or something? Nope just going to slip in, find something "appropriate" (husbands word) and slip out. No tears, no yelling, no crying.

 

The is the first of lasts.

 

Good news is it is my bday month so I get 20% off! Bad news is how will they be able to pay the rent as I am no longer shopping there.

    Good post. My surgery was in January. So for the holidays i was in need of nice party clothes. The thought of giving the high priced fat stores one more penny was killing me. So - i went to a consignment shop. Shockingly - beautiful clothes for almost nothing. And i only wore what i bought once. Because a few weeks later- i was too small. yay

    Boy can I relate to this - I don't know what Jessica London, Roamans, Woman Within, Avenue, Lane Bryant, and OneStopPlus are going to stay in business with all of us working to go into normal sizes. I never thought I would look forward to buying cheap clothes!!!

    Haha too funny I am pre-op surgery is June 25th and I felt such a rush of excitement when I paid off my Lane Bryant credit card off and said I will never go there again!!!!! I have enough sizes to get me through my weight loss up until a size 16...can't wait to just walk into any store and buy cute clothes!!!!

    Update....they will make rent this month BUT only just. Opted for a new bathing suit and cover up too. Nice thing is I may only wear these this summer bit I am going out with a stylin bang!
