Does anyone feel like they have lost too much weight?

I know this may sound crazy but I am struggling right now and have asked this question before. Does anyone feel like they have lost too much weight? I am having body image issues/concerns. every time I look in the mirror I see a sickly skinny figure. I am now trying to figure out how I can gain back about 15 lbs to feel comfortable in my own skin and fill out my clothes better. I started out at 219 1 yr ago. I am now 136 and looking too thin. any suggestions on how to gain with the sleeve? it's hard for me to get in decent size portions. Hope this doesnt offend anyone.

Thx

NEVER, but if I was going to want to gain weight I would start drinking milkshakes, really good ones!

A few Frappes from Starbucks a week will get you there. If you feel comfortable at 15 that's okay, you'll just have to work on it, but don't over do it. I haven't been sleeve and was wondering about weightloss in a person that started off about where you started, my weight is 237 and I would be alright if I could get to 150, no less than 140. Good luck to you.

How tall are you? I'm at 132 and feel good being within the 130 range but if I were down to 110 (which is what I weighed all through High School) then I would really feel too skinny and I would be hitting up Starbucks for a frappe or a milkshake. With a sleeve if you want to gain then drink those calories.

Most WLS patients will gain back some weight after a while.. My ultimate goal is actually a somewhat chunky 170 pounds but I'm shooting for 150 because of the regain that most people naturally experience.

You are 5' 3" and 136 lbs and you think you look too skinny? That sounds like a healthy proportion to me. I wouldn't recommend gaining weight with higher fat intake. I would recommend getting a personal trainer to help you tone what you have. You are a diamond in the rough, Darlin'! Maybe you spent most of your life heavier and this just looks foreign and unfamiliar to you. I bet you look beautiful, and you just can't see it yourself. What does your closest friends say? Have you asked for their opinions? Have you bought any new outfits lately? Tried a new look? I know I haven't seen any photos, but I envision a woman who looks great!

Go to www.mybodygallery.com. You can enter height and weight and see what REAL people look like. Maybe that will help your self image. Frankly, I think you are being too hard on yourself. You deserve a celebration.

I am also 5'3" and weigh 220. I don't want to get below 140. I just look and feel better at that weight. I am scheduled for surgery July 2nd. Can't wait!

Hello everyone thx for commenting! I will try the shakes. I have done some research on weight gain shakes. so far I have tried whey protien powder, with oatmeal, banana, peanut butter, and whole milk. it was pretty tasty so I will contiune those in between meals and see how that works.

@SqueakyWheel&Ethyl thanks for the kind words, my family and friends all say i look great and dont look sickly skinny as I think I do.. you have a hand full of folks that think i lost too much weight but I am sure they have said it to others and not me. I am actually a little smaller than I was in high school and I have always been very curvy (thick or thin) but now I am starting to see the curvy vanish and that's bothering me more than anything. I guess this is why they say it's important to attend support groups and ect after but I have failed to do so. I have also not been taking my vit. like I should and I also stopped drinking the protien shakes. maybe that all played a part in me loosing too much. I have also checked on my BMI and I currently at a normal and healthy weight just struggling to see that in the mirror!
