2nd day of Optifast

Please tell me that the Optifast diet gets easier! this morning I was throwing up and had a migraine. I was able to rally and get to work but this stuff taste nasty. Anyone have tricks for making the shakes go down better? Does it get easier? My surgery is on the 15th....and I'm nervous ...I won't be able to handle it.

I agree (Yuck), a lot like drinking dirt. :) Try using Sugar Free Torani Syrups, that did the trick for me.

I also got headaches, mainly because I was dehydrated. So drink a lot of water.

I did Optifast for almost a year so you can do this. The first few days are the worst. Then it gets better.

I know you're using Optifast, but I use Unjury from my Dr and Soy protein from EAS and GNC and have no more vomiting or headaches. Maybe there is an electrolyte issue or you're not tolerating the type of protein?

Thank you for your comments. It has been a little better today but really cranky cooking for my family and not being able to eat.

I will try the syrups and call them to change proteins if I need to. Gosh I can't believe you did Optifast for a year! Did you lose a lot of weight?

I'm right there with you on cooking for a family and you can't eat any of it! It's like a cruel joke, but I ALWAYS say to myself....this isn't forever. I AM WORTH IT! You are too and just remember we're learning moderation. We had this for a better happier healthier life!
