Day of surgery

So yesterday I was banded. Except for my immediate family there were only two other friends who knew that I was getting this done. So yesterday I'm placed in my bed and the curtain is pulled, and then I hear a familiar voice, "Hello Nora!" It's my aunt. I thought she had retired. She's a nurse in the surgery area. Since my sisters had to stay in the waiting room, it was nice to have family with me throughout the surgery. I had to start laughing when my aunt was going through the whole formality of asking if had any body piercings. If it was stranger asking I probably wouldn't have laughed, but just hearing that from aunt was funny.
