Things to be excited for when I get fit and healthy

Things to be Excited for When I get FIT

  1. Register for a cycling class in March
  2. Bike with my Dad in May from my university to home! (60 miles)
  3. Getting away with wearing only ONE sports bra (not 2 or 3)
  4. Buying any clothes that I want
  5. Wearing normal width boots
  6. Having a regular towel fit around me
  7. Run a 5K with my dad
  8. RunDinsey 10k 2014 with my dad
  9. Sit on an airplane comfortably
  10. People actually don't mind sitting next to me in class or on the bus (if I get into grad school)
  11. To not be fetishized on dating websites
  12. Actually making eye contact with people instead of wishing I was invisible
  13. Not be afraid to smile in photos because it makes my face look even fatter
  14. Taking the stairs instead of dreading them
  15. Not being hot all the time (although my hands and feet are like ice now)
  16. GET TO ONDERLAND
  17. be able to do at least 5 real pull-ups and 20 push ups

And finally, to try to love myself even though everyday is a struggle.

In other news, I went to my school's gym on Friday to get used to everything. I brought my friend with me Monday night, and I went tonight, too. Unfortunately, I got such bad blisters on Monday, I could only stick to the bike tonight.

I'm doing really lousy getting in all my fluids. I think I might get in about 40oz? I'm not really keeping track of my protein, but I estimate it's somewhere around 40g-50g. I think working out helps deplete any carbs I do consume. I've been in a stall for a while now, but the scale finally moved tonight. Although every scale is different, I have a doctor's appointment on Friday so hopefully my new nutritionist will be okay will my weightloss.

Terrific list!!! I 'm going to make a list also. Seems like a great motivator to stay on track and remember why you're doing this. Congrats an going to the gym. Not an easy task when you want to be invisible;)

What a great list! I know my list is similar to yours especially the item about the plane. I flew to africa a few years ago and the seat was uncomfortable and dug into my leg. I felt sorry for the person sitting next to me because I hogged the armrest meant for her. I will be excited when i lose all that weight and take another mission trip to africa and be comfortable.

Good luck on reaching all those goals. When we dream big, amazing things happen!

Great list! Keep this close to you (literally copy it and carry it with you) and when you're tempted by crap food or don't want to work out, take this list out and remind yourself of why you're on this journey. Just seeing it in print will be a great motivator.

I put one up on the back of my door so I'll see it every time I step outside :] I hope it'll keep me motivated!

You have goals, and I think that's really an important thing, knowing what you are working towards! I have two sons, 9 & 11, and it sucks that I cant run with them because all the weight in my stomach bears down so heavily on my knees. I cant really ride a bike comfortably either, and i desperately want to start biking, as well as kayaking (much moreso than I want to run).

I'll tell you what, trying to put an end to habit/comfort eating is just as hard as quitting smoking!
