Nerves

I am scheduled for surgery Monday, July 16th and I am so nervous! I have been over-processing the following points:

#1 I am afraid of losing too much/not enough weight

#2 I have long hair and I hate the thought of losing it!

#3 Loose saggy skin!

I am looking forward to a new me, I just hope it isn't an anorexic balding version of who I am now!!!

Yep! I had the same fears going in. I am 3 weeks out today and feel really good. It is a learning process so nothing is perfect but I feel good. I have lost 30 lbs between preop and the past 3 weeks. I haven't thrown up yet but some things stay down better than others. The best advice I have heard from my friends who have gone through this and don't have extra skin is to start wtih light weights once you get approval to work out. I am walking about a mile a day and will see my surgeon next week for a check up. I bought hair, skin, nails vitamins at Costco but haven't started on them yet. As far as weight loss goes, I am pleased so far LOL. My surgeon said that for my height I can easily be 108. Honestly I would be thrilled to be at 140 LOL.

I have similar concerns...I am hoping that I will be able to have some of these questions answered when I see the surgeon in 10 days! If I get any good information, I'll share :)

I think about those all the time....

but weight loss is weight loss and it's all to make you healthier!

also they have some pretty cute haircuts that are short now. if you feel like its looking too thin, maybe a new do would help with the new you! ( thats kind of what I have decided for myself...I've just spent 2.5 years trying to grow out my inverted bob cut...its now getting so nice and long, but I know theres a good chance of my hair thinning a lot, so it might end up back as a bob again, lol. )

good luck! I hope it went well.
