Wish I had the answer to that one.. ! For sure exercise helps you lose faster and of course following the rules...

Depenging on your age and metabolism it may be fast or slower .. for sure.

I have seen it all and studied from watching lots of others VSG journeys on you tube.

What I observe.. RNY ers lose more faster.. ( if they start higher weight). ( men & women) very fast loss..older ones still lose 100+ pounds in 1 year if they work out.. If they dont work out they generally lose about 30% less..Of course there are exceptions.( some can lose 100 pounds with no exercise.. doubtful they will remain thin without some form of exercise though.

Sleevers- if young.. 20-s 30-s seem to lose MUCH faster ( Id say almost as fast if not as fast as RNY'ers-- than older sleevers.. 40s-50s..

Takes longer.

For me it's exercise. The more I exercise the faster I lose so I try to work out at least 5 days per week for an hour.

I was in a stall for six weeks, and to break it I decreased my carbs, increased cardio and decreased weight lifting.

I can't speek of speedier ways, I was offered medication because of a metabolism issue, btu it didn't help via regulating me, it only amped up my thermostat - speed, basically - so I declined.

Exercize - small, varied exercise will help alot, I think - and just dont fret.

I have after a long time come to peace with the fact that I am losing slowly, but the sleeve will help me stay on track, and I lose inches even when I dont lose pounds.

May I suggest you find things to keep you occupied? Painting, taking a class, or rediscover the things you lost as you gained the weight? I have took up swordsmanship again, and contact juggling, poi and hula hoops - I lose hours and build up a sweat, and the days just roll by...until the day I went into Old Navy to buy a summer slip, and had to get a 12 instead of the 14 I picked out...

:)

Namaste.

I would agree with the others that exercise is one key. I work out a minimum of 4x/week: 30 minutes on the treadmill (varying speeds and hill intervals) and 30 minutes of strength training.

Another important factor is TAKE ENOUGH PROTEIN. A bare miminum is 65g/day.

Take your vitamins and calcium. Very important.

Good luck! You will do great!

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
