A New Job To Go With My (Soon-To-Be) New Bod

I have always felt that my weight has been one of the things that held me back professionally. You know how some folks view obesity as a sign of laziness, lack of control, etc. My boss wears like a size 2 or 4 and runs marathons and stuff -- things to which I certainly cannot relate. Last year I was passed over for a promotion and the person who got the job quit after two months. The job was reposted and, of course, I re-applied. Well, found out today that I got the job this time!

This is awesome news to go along with these other changes taking place in my life. Now, I can start saving for plastic surgery. :)

Good for you! And, by the way, you are absolutely correct about discrimination against overweight people. It is highly documented.
