New Beginnings

I have been overweight my whole life. I have never been the type of person to let it hold me back. I just accepted the way I was. I have been blessed with a husband that loved me just the way I was. He never complained or said anything about my weight. He actually did not want me to have surgery. I didn't have sleeve surgery because I wanted to be skinny, I did it purely because of health reasons, and the weight loss was just an added benefit! I have high blood pressure, diabetic, PCOS and degenertive disk disease in my back. My new beginning to being healthy started Monday, April 26, 2010 with my vertical sleeve surgery! So far my blood pressure is under control and I have lost 10 lbs! I can't believe that I am not hungry!:cursing:

Good for you! I had surgery for health reasons too, and even though my surgery was only 4 weeks ago, a lot of my problems are resolving already. Off BP medication. Able to walk with less pain in feet. Sleeping better without numbness in hands and feet. Down 31 pounds. Yea!
