Looking forward to a big change.

I am scheduled for VSG on 1/18/10. I'm so excited and apprehensive at the same time. Start my 2 week pre-op diet on Monday. I really hope I can stick to the eating and exercise plan after surgery. I've never been able to stay with another one, but then I've always been hungry and felt deprived on past diets. Surely this will be different!

It is completely different, at least it is for me. Good luck, we're all here to support you!

It's definitely different than dieting once you get past the all too necessary post-op diet. Once you're regular food, you can enjoy just about anything you desire just in smaller quantities. My entire relationship with food has changed, and I am more normal now than I have ever been.

Thanks, Ladies. I have never been "normal" where food is concerned. I've even prayed to be normal. If this surgery helps me become more normal, it will be worth everything. I'm so glad I found this site. Thanks for the support.
