TBone55 5 Posted March 29, 2013 I had surgery 3/22/13 and I still have a lot of gas. I bought some Gas X today --- still have gas. The shoulder pain is awful. Share this comment Link to comment
dylanmiles23 2,198 Posted March 29, 2013 I find it doesn't stop but does not smell usually. I burp very loud now and my stomach gurgles a lot mostly at bed time. Share this comment Link to comment
Debbie3sons 1,936 Posted March 29, 2013 We bandsters are all explovise in one form or another , I just hate that after I drink or eat it happens A LOT so I think everbody I know that knows me is used to it or they have excepted it so it will come & go I try to muffle the sound though lol but sometimes it's like a rattling muffler when I walk and know it doesn't stink , so I joke and say my s--- don't stink lol, but sometimes we have air bubbles that have to get out of are bands. A New New Dawn 1,695 Posted March 31, 2013 As my doctor told me, there are 2 reasons we get gas. Either the food we are eating or swallowing air. If you have not changed the foods you are eating from before surgery it may be swallowing a lot of air. For me, it took me a bit to figure out why i was waking up every morning burping and had a lot of gas... Well, I have sleep apnea and use a cpap machine. After losing a significant amount of weight, I needed the pressure turned down on the machine and that problem subsided. In case you use one, you may want to look into that.
