12/20/2006 The surgeon's office called and told me my insurance appeal has been approved, ny appointment to see the doctor is 12/27. What a great Christmas present:clap2: . It seems like forever since I started researching lap band and the possibility of surgery, but actually it has been less than a year. I started talking to my husband last January that it was something I would like to do if we could afford it, went to a seminar in Shawnee Mission KS in March, filled out the paper work had the physical, surgery recommeded by my local doctor, sleep apnea test. Then the insurance denied it. Was appealed by Obesity Law & Advocacy Center and now its approved. According to the receptionist at the Bariatric Center my surgery date should be less than 3 weeks. Tara is very excited for me she think's its great, Tia not too excited and I'm not sure about Ronnie. He knows I need to do something about my extra weight but he thinks dieting is the answer. Been there tried that:think .
