Finally A Fill I Can Feel

I had my surgery on 3/1/12, my first fill 6weeks after (my wt 217 down from 245). From the first day of my fill I never felt restricted. I could eat whatever with no restriction on how much, however once I was done with my meal I was full for a while, which lead to me eating twice a day(I know not good). My eating was still not bad and I went to the gym 5 days a week (1hr cardio with strength training). Two weeks after my first fill I went for a 2nd fill still nothing. By now my eating habit is getting worse the will power is not so good, my weight is the same 217lb.(I'm still going to the gym) On 6/7/12 I go for my 3rd fill OMG finally I understand what restriction really is, i understand 4oz of meat is enough, I understand sipping my fluids. What a wonderful feeling! now just maybe I can start my weight loss

Good Luck! I've only a week and a half out of Surgery so I don't know what a fill feels like but I've been told that's when it really start to work.. I wish you the best in your journey.... I can't way to see your success..

That's awesome news. Congrats. I am just curious how much do you have in the band now? I got my 2nd fill this morning and now have a total of 6cc in an 11cc band. I hope this is it for me as well. I am on liquids until tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the great info. I have only had 1 fill and a few days ago I suddenly realized how much I was eating with out feeling full. I was really scared that I had dilated my pouch I could eat such large portions. I have been better the last 4 days because I am forcing myself to eat smaller portions and I give myself a chance to feel full. I still need to work on slowing down my eating. Smaller more frequent meals really does work! I am full and just need to work on not eating out of boredom or emotional eating. I love to eat and this is a life change I will work on for the rest of my life. The more weight I lose the more will power I have...I do not want to ruin all the hard work I have done. I am also walking 2 -21/2 miles a day, that has had a big impact on my weight loss. I am down 44 pounds with 100 to go, banded on April 6, 2012.

Congrats! I'm currently experiencing the same as you were over eating and not feeling full I go for my third fill next week so hopefully I will start feeling the difference.

Thanks guys for the support. Jim I have I think 8cc in a 10cc band. I know it's really close, I don't understand why it takes 8cc for me to feel restricted. I'm just going to stay positive with the 8cc getting me to the 60lb i want to lose. Good luck to all of you
