Really Battling Mentally Today

The fat girl inside me is SCREAMING to be fed junk food. I've all sorts of thoughts running through my head. I've thought that today was going to be a day to indulge in some sweet and chocolaty goodies. I was first going to go to a local bakery and get a couple things. Then I shifted to baking a recipe I found on Pintrest. I even pulled up that recipe and gawked at the pictures. Oh, that website is the devil!!!

This mental stuff is the worst. In my 34 years of living, it's the hardest thing I've ever dealt with. And I've dealt with some pretty hard ish. As have we all, right?

I'm sure I'll make it through the day w/o caving.

I just ate a banana with peanut butter. More than 2 tbsp, but eating it is a 1000% better than what I REALLY wanted to eat, so I'm not going to stress myself.

I really do look forward to the day when food doesn't consume most of the space in my mind.

Atleast you are trying! Give yourself a pat on the back... some people just rely completely on the band to make them through up... I am at work currently and just ate a poptart and a hershey bar... to be fair i spent two days on liquids, but still! On to the gym we go! I enjoyed your post

The Fat GIrl might be screaming but the Future You is whispering WELL DONE.

Soon that whisper will be SO much louder and you will shout for all the world to hear:

WOO HOO! and you will leave that fat girl in the changing room at Lane Bryant to whisper to someone else!

I feel the same way today. I was out with family today with sports. Everyone wanted to eat lunch, next things I know we are the best pizza place. I sat down and looked at the menu and walked out crying while everyone stated and ate. I am only 3 weeks post op and my mind is killing me with thoughts. I dreamed about beer last night.

I need to get my butt in the gym and stop feeling sorry for myself. Stay strong and keep your head up.

I had my surgery on AUG.30th and at first I lost 24 pounds in the first 3 months then I stopped losing had my second fill and lost another 2o then stopped losing and when I went back to get 3rd fill I had not lost but 1 pound in 2 months and now that I got another fill the 1st of this month, I already lost 7 pounds. You do not have to cut out your favorite sweets, if you eat in small amounts, I eat 3 hershey kisses as a snack between lunch and supper and still am losing and no longer have constant cravings and am not hungry that often.I only walk for exercise, about 1 mile a day.I only eat 850 calories a day. Hang in there it takes work but you can do it. I never could lose weight before and have been overweight since 1980.This surgery is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I am off almost all my meds and my blood pressure has been normal for the first time since 1982. I do have to take anxiety medication because my body has went through a drastic change and I am also going through menopause. I am 51 and if I can get through this anyone can if they put their mind to it.
