Well it has been 12 days since I was banded. Yesterday was a bit hard. I was hurting really bad yesterday, where the port is. Is it supposed to still be hurting this bad??? Also My doc told me to keep the port cover at all times (i still have staples in) but the bandages are killing my skin. Maybe thats why it hurts so bad???

 

Yesterday was my family bbq and it went great. That morning honestly being "the fat girl" I am I was sad that I would not be eating EVERYTHING that was there. I was sad because I was making homemade cupcakes and mac n cheese to take but that I would not be able to eat them. But once I got there and had everyone asking me about my surgery and how I was feeling, they couldnt believe how much weight I had already lost it made me feel so much better. So instead of eating all the bad crap that was there I ate grilled chicken and it was yummy. And this morning I felt even better when I got on the scale and im down13 lbs!!!!

Great job at 12 days! You were very stong to make such yummy food and not eat it. It is amazing that you have lost more than a pound a day. Great work. I hope I can post something like that when I am 12 days out.

Do you clothes already feel better? It is so great that others are even noticing already. Thanks for posting :)

Congrats thats awesome! Sometimes we dnt really realize how much will power we really have. Ppl noticing and asking questions it's only going to get better. Keep up the great work....

Awesome job with the family BBQ! It's amazing what we can do when we put ourselves first - and how great it must feel cooking delicious food for your family and still treating yourself well by not having any and sticking to your plan! That's just giving all the way around - to your family AND to yourself! I have been wondering how those events will be for me down the road, and your post was an inspiration. Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work because YOU are worth it!!!

      I'm literally almost crying reading this. Mostly because I'mon this pre-op diet and these last two days have been difficult... but also because I needed this! Thank you! Congrats! And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️
