Being To Paranoid??

I've been banded since '09,not much weight loss from it 38lbs down from 340lbs,been VERY disgusted with it so far,i was doing 10 to 12 miles aweek cardio 3X's aweek in the gym for 2 yrs straight with not much success....so i started weight training hard now the weight is ever increasing......is it from the extra protein 150grams a day approx."eating habits" Lean cuisines until i can't stand them anymore,i feel like i've done everything right with no results.broken_heart.gif

Have you had your thyroid checked you may be up against something you don't realize. As far as weight training you are most likely gaining muscle mass which weighs more. So although it may be good for you the numbers on the scale may go up. Check into the thyroid testing. You can definitely bulk up from excess protein. good luck!

what does your doctor say? Did a nutritionist set the protein level at 150 grams? Mine told me to work to eat the protein to support then bodysize you wanted for your goal/ideal weight. I'm suppose to eat 65-80 grams a day. I think its a little higher for men, but you might to revisit you nutritionist or doctor and see if something else is going on. good luck
