Jan. 16 2012- The Day My Life Will Changed

Jan. 16,2012 is the day my life will starts! as some may know and most will figure out I'm getting Lapband suragry...the reason I haven't told many people is because I didn't want to hear all the neg. thoughts out there I wanted support not pity like I couldn't do it myself, I was thinking all of the same things, I didn't want to hear it, I didn't want to fail my children I didn't want to fail my family but then I thought I was failing myself all these years...So I decided that 2012 would be my year! I will be going in on Monday Jan. 16 2012 I'm a size 16/18 all belly at 230lbs.

My surgery is on the 19th! I am 236 and being we are having surgery so close together and pretty weigh the same I thought maybe we could keep in touch and help each other through the journey! I too am not telling many people just a close cousin and a good friend. I don't want to tell a lot of people for the same reasons you are not. I don't want to be watched like a hawk! Keep in touch and Good luck!

I felt the exact same way as you. its hard to share your excitement when your in fear your family and friends wont support you! I was amazed that once I told everyone (the day after my surgery) how many people supported my decision. The people in our lives just want us to be healthy and happy! I am 2 1/2 weeks post surgery and I still believe this is the best thing that has happened to me other than my 2 wonderful children!!! Good luck! It is quick and pretty painless, but walk as much as you can so the gas will be gone quickly or that will be the majority of your pain!... best of luck!!!

i was just banded dec 13th and its been very easy . i was in and out of the hospital in about 5 hrs ! i wish i had a roll of lifesavers with me for right after surgery, as the water and nonstop ice chips couldnt get rid of the horrible cottonmouth i had all day. im down 13 lbs, and 1 pant size ! wait until you have your 1st nsv (non scale victory ), you'll be so glad you did this ! good luck to you !
