I went to church today and I told a few people that I have been doing the liquid diet and had lost 15 poulds already. They siad it you can do that, then why have the surgery. I told them I had tried every diet under the moon, and when you come off of it. You gain it all back plus 10. So I was sticking with this. I guess I need to stick to positive people. My feelings didn't get hurt, I just thought you have no clue!!! LOL

That Why I did not tell ANYONE! Well, I told my mom and dad, they took me to surgery and I stayed with them for a few days, they helped out with the kids, I told my husband I was having surgery for a hernia repair, which was half true! He is a truck driver, so I told him he di not have to miss work for an out patient surgery, I also told 2 co-workers just in case somethin happened to me at work. The rest of my co workers would have given me a hard time.....they are always on some diet ...now they are all doing paleo???? I call it the caveman diet

My co-worker know and are supportive so far. My family and some friends. I have a feeling one of my friends will not be supportive. She was trying to get me to drink a beer with her yesterday. I told her no and made up an excuse of why I had to leave. Hope she will do better

i have heard the same comment and why dont you just stop eating and use some self control! WELL WHY DIDNT I THINK OF THAT instead of risking my life having major surgery, taking off work, being in pain, not eating "normal food" for almost 2 months! People can be soooo insensitive and retarded at times. I wish I hadnt told some of the people I did. Who can live on drinking liquids only, are they serious! Still to this site and you'll get plenty of support, some will even give you a verbal cyber hand slap when needed! LOL! this site helped me get thru my first few months. feel free to check out my blog(although i havent been good at keeping it up lately) or inbox me with any questions. Best wishes hun!

You are so right, they have no clue what we have gone through. They probably never weighted 50+ more than they should, and really can't relate.

You do what is right for you. and tell the others to go pound sand.

I heard the same comment and all I could do was shake my head. They don't have a clue. Doing something for a week or two weeks is not doing it for a lifetime! I'm so glad I went ahead w/ my surgery 4 days ago.
