1st Band Fill Today

Well today was my first band fill 6 weeks post op. I did not hurt but felt really weird. The Dr. had a hard time finding my port. He said it happens. He put in 2 cc's so now I have a total of 4cc. I defiantly eat half of what I was able to eat yesterday. Wow it was like 5 bites and that was it. But it will be a good thing since I have been at 224 forever. Well we shall see what the scale says tomorrow.

LAP-BAND Patients

I also had my first fill today... Really had a hard time with it. The doctor couldnt find my port so I had 3 numbing needles and 4 fill needles until they finally hit the target... My port is at an odd angle. They put in 2cc's and said I probably wouldn't really feel very much difference. Will have another fill after the holidays. Only problem is I am hungry all the time. I have lost 17 lbs in 4 weeks since the surgery, but it has been more from mind over matter because I have very little restriction. Don't really want another fill any time soon either though. Feelig a bit low so I am heading for bed. Tomorrow is a new day :)

LAP-BAND Patients

I've had three different nurses do my fills and only one had a hard time finding it. She blamed it on the port being too low. She stuck me the first time and hit the side of the port and bend the needle into the shape of the letter c! ... On the flip side the other two nurses felt for my port and got everything right on the first stick. At least with the one lady, seems to me she was a little unexperienced and was blaming it on my port!
