Yea. So it's been a year and I've lost a lack luster 58.5 pounds. In that time I've also never felt less healthy. I have no energy, no ability to eat fruits or vegetables, I seldom get more than 800 calories a day, and get stuck at least 3 times a week to the point of slimming everything.

If only I knew then what I knew now... would never have wasted all that money!

People will say your too tight. Not so much, or at least not all the time. Some days I could eat a cow, others I can't get down yogurt. In the last year I have lived on greek yogurt, cottage cheese and tuna or chicken salad. The rest of it is a complete waste of time to make and then waste. I never know from day to day if it's going to go down so I've stopped bothering.

I have to go for my 1 year follow up, the best part for me will be releasing the band. I'm heading back to WW which actually was working. Why I thought I would lose more here I will never know.

I wish you all better luck with this then I have had!

I have had the exact same experience. Im almost at my 1 year bandiversary and I have lost 45 lbs. I was throwing up a lot, feeling uncomfortable, hardly able to eat and felt tired because I was working out and couldnt get enough calories in. Sometimes my protein shakes in the morning wouldnt even go down. So I went to the doc and said I wanted fluid taken out. If I were losing a bunch of weight I would have endured it until I got to my goal. But that clearly WASNT the case. He took a good bit of fluid out and now Im able to eat anything I want. Now, I must do a lot more "dieting" but now Im the one in control instead of my very expensive band. If I were you, I would get fluid taken out so you can eat. We NEED to be able to eat; that is our fuel. Without that, we have nothing.

Funny thing is I lost 100 pounds to get the band. I was a work out maniac. I don't even have the energy to do the simplest of workouts anymore. I stall because I can't get in enough calories. Just this morning I hit the wall on my greek yogurt and had to toss it all back up. Tonight I'll be able to swallow chicken without chewing. If only I didn't need calories till 6 every evening this might work.

I've called to schedule an appoinment. My surgeons office tried to talk me out of it. I've made up my mind, I'm ready to go back to WW and finish what I started there. At least then I feel healthy and less stupid for all the embarrasing moments of running to the bathroom.
