Newbie

You know, I'm not very computer savy and find negotiating these site's mind boggling. I think what I'm after is chatting with people in the Edm area who are undergoing the same journey as I am. It's been frustratingly long waiting and waiting and waiting for a call from the Weight Wise program. On the other hand, maybe that indicates its value and worth.....I completed the modules (save one that I repeatedly couldn't get into) and am waiting. After 2 years, I got the letter and go in the end of March for my assessment. I'm worried and afraid that they'll assess me and then tell me I'm not a candidate for them even though I feel they are my final hope! What then????????......

LAP-BAND Patients

Hi Nicky;

Thanks for the add.

I got in to the weight wise clinic and started my modules in September 09. I just has my band surgery last week. So in total: 16 months from start to finish. All good things come to those who wait right? It is frustrating but in my case, I may not had made the decision to be banded had it been offered any sooner OR the band may not have worked for me had I not been so far in to the changes in my lifestyle. Maybe it wont despite! Who knows. I just have to keep to the plan Stan!B)

Be patient, appreciate your team at the clinic (all are fantastic) and committ to change more than you have committed to the love of your life! Sounds silly but its all you girl!

Feel free to keep in touch. I haven't met anyone else from Edmonton on here yet but have a great group of gals that I stay in touch with from the program! None of them have had surgery yet either and some of them have chosen not to.
